Antumo delivers Auto ID equipment to Rossmann drugstores

More than 9,000 units of Sunmi mobile terminals have been delivered by Antumo to Rossmann drugstores. The devices are used by drugstore employees throughout Poland. The cooperation between the companies has been in place since 2021. As part of the project, Antumo also provides maintenance services for the mobile devices.

Technical support key to effective cooperation

The selection of Antumo (formerly M2T P.S.A.) as a technology partner by Rossmann was a conscious decision. The drugstore's priority was a guarantee of efficient service, technical support and the certainty of timely execution of all orders.

With direct access to Sunmi technology and an extensive inventory of spare parts and components, we are able to respond quickly and efficiently to any service request from Rossmann. This readiness to act and the ability to adapt to individual customer needs makes Antumo a stable partner in the area of modern Auto ID technologies, says Łukasz Ławniczak, head of the Antumo service center.

 

Many years of cooperation with Sunmi and efficient organization of logistic processes guarantee timely execution of orders and delivery of equipment ordered by the Rossmann chain, adds Łukasz Ławniczak.

Rossmann drugstores in Poland are visited by nearly 1.12 million customers daily. At the outlets, they can do their shopping, get acquainted with the offer or place an order online. They also have the opportunity to check the availability of a given product in other drugstores. Such information is provided by employees. Rossmann's crew is also responsible for keeping the drugstores stocked, monitoring inventory levels and picking orders placed online. To carry out these activities, efficient and handy mobile devices are required. Rossmann decided to purchase and implement Sunmi brand terminals. As part of the cooperation with Antumo, more than 9,000 data collectors have been delivered to drugstores across Poland.

Rossmann relied on this manufacturer's equipment because it met their requirements. Sunmi equipment is characterized by quality workmanship, reliability and high operating culture. Also very important in the purchase decision was the possibility of adapting the terminals to Rossmann's IT security standards and integration with internal IT systems, describes Marcin Kostrzewa, head of Antumo's sales department.

The Sunmi L2S collectors are equipped with an Android-based system overlay, which provided ample technological opportunities for customizing the equipment to meet the individual needs of Rossmann drugstores. Sunmi engineers have prepared a device environment fully compatible with the operational requirements of Rossmann specialists - simplified, secure and ready for immediate implementation. As a result, the terminals seamlessly support the daily work of our teams and are fully integrated with Rossmann's internal applications.

Drugstore employees use the terminals - among other things - to scan product barcodes. Thanks to the built-in industrial scanning engine, Sunmi devices read data with very high precision, even from a distance of several tens of centimeters, which makes it easier and faster to verify information about the assortment, Marcin Kostrzewa stresses.

Additionally, the Sunmi OS operating system allows secure and remote software updates of all devices in use, and the capacious battery allows operation for up to 16 hours without recharging.

Ergonomics and intuitive operation are also strengths of this model. The collector is lightweight and easy to carry, and thanks to its two-button design, it can be operated with one hand. In turn, the large touchscreen gives you the ability to present data in an easy-to-read manner.

Our cooperation with Rossmann drugstores has been gradually growing. Initially, it included the delivery of about 2,000 terminals, and now there are more than 9,000 data collectors in Rossmann. These numbers confirm the high level of services provided by our company and the trust from the leader of the drugstore market, which commissions us to carry out further projects, concludes Marcin Kostrzewa.
